Hacienda Chillo-Jijón is an 18 century (built in 1730) luxurious country house located just outside the city limits of Colonial Quito, Ecuador.  It has always belonged to the same family and it is still inhabited by the owners.  At the same time, since 1999, the Hacienda is open for guests looking for top-quality accommodations, right between the fantastic treasures of the old city of Quito and the incredible beauty of the Andean region. 

 In the Colonial center of Quito visitors will find gold covered baroque 16 century churches, great museums and the overall beauty of the largest well maintained Colonial area of any city in Spanish Latin America.  Out in the Andean Region, there are incredible Indian Markets, mountain villages, a number of striking National Parks (including the Mt. Cotopaxi park on the edge of the glaciers of the tallest active volcano in the World), and the world-famous “Avenue of the Volcanoes”.

The program at Hacienda Chillo-Jijón is “all-included”, meaning that it comprises lodging, all meals, all drinks, laundry service, and in general every service that can be offered within the Hacienda.  Outside programs, such as visits to the City, the Indian Markets, the National Parks, trips to the Galapagos Islands or to the Amazon Jungle, as well as transportation, can be arranged by the Hacienda for its guests, although those programs have their own costs.

Hacienda Primavera ecolodge – Ecuador April 25, 2008
