Umbria region has quite always been considered a secondary solution to Tuscany for many people aiming to have a country side holiday .

Umbria is a great please were to have a very typical country side vacation, for all those of you who like any kind of excursion, say for instance by bike (Mountain bike), horse riding and so on.

The hills nearby Florence are something to be seen at least once, tranquillity, beautiful landscapes, delicious Italian food are only some of the main reasons to spend some time here, but I guess once tested it will be hard not to dream a return! One of the most typical accommodation in Tuscany is surely the “ Agriturismo “ a farm holiday, Villa I Barronci is a place to stay, I would say a must, located in the splendid San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in the Florence’s hills where famous Chianti vineyards grows.

 

The name of I Barronci has an ancient tradition taken from the very first owners of the place on the XII century, nowadays this beautiful building is at disposal offering rooms standard, superior and even beautiful suites, all with private bathroom, soundproof, air conditioning and heat, mini bar facility and wired internet , in sum all the in-room commodities of a nice modern structure supporting any kind of need. Agriturismo Al-Marnich –Farm House Como Lake June 6, 2008

A holiday in Como is always a great surprise, nice landscapes at the famous lake and the possibility to visit superb villas like Balbianello or Carlotta with a short boat ride, impressive churches, botanic gardens, but even a simple along side lake walk it is surely something to do. The Farm House Al-Marnich is a great place from where to experience all the above mentioned activities, its great location, only 15 minutes away from Como lake and not far from Milan or Lugano in Swtizerland make this farm house easily reachable.

 

In any case I believe Al-Marnich is a good reason by its self to go and visit, nicely completely restored rooms, some with fireplace, terrace or balconies, all contributes to create a romantic place, rooms can be provided with ADSL connection on demand and  is able to organise trekking excursions. A great mention has to be done to the typical regional cuisine offering obviously fresh local products, cheese, meat (prepared in the great wooden owen) and needles to say a variety of great local wines.
