Umbria region has quite always been considered a secondary solution to Tuscany for many people aiming to have a country side holiday .
Nothing more wrong than that! Umbria is in my opinion one of the most beautiful region of the center of Italy with its own peculiar identity, and therefore nothing to envy to the more celebrated Tuscany.
Umbria is a great please were to have a very typical country side vacation, for all those of you who like any kind of excursion, say for instance by bike (Mountain bike), horse riding and so on.
The typical accommodation in that region is for sure the Agriturismo or Bed and Breakfast, and a nice one would be for sure La Rocchetta in Gualdo Tadino, thanks to its location in the historical center, La Rocchetta B & B is strategically located not far from restaurants, pizzieras and anything may be useful for a pleasant stay, moreover, Gualdo Tadino is probably the best solution, infact thanks to its location it will not be difficult to reach world known places like Assisi, Spoleto, Gubbio and Foligno.
Lastly, but surely to be mentioned, not far you will find the famous Frasassi caves, one of the most important karst complexes in the world.
So like I’ve said at the beginning, Umbria is a place to discover if you have never been before and to return if you already know what I am talking about!
