is strangely something I haven’t written about yet, so here I would like to state something! The vast quantity and various type available is just incredible, cruises are indeed a different way of spending your holiday, so many people can be a little concerned when they have to decide the type of holiday, however they should remember that a Cruise is an unique experience where it is not rare to meet new people, where the occasion for relaxing and activities are frequent and where staff is friendly and professional. 

 

 

Cruises can be chosen selecting from many different factors, destination, type of ship, cruise on a river, but also you can choose the Company, in fact the Company may appear of a less importance, however being your companion during all the cruise, you may prefer one Company or another.

Discover Umbria land of art, sport and wine September 9, 2008

For many, even Italians, Umbria Region is not so famous like Tuscany region, however, Umbria like Tuscany is a great please to visit and one of its main strength is its less popularity if compared to close Tuscany. Why I say so, sometimes massive tourism, can modify styles and create difficulties of access to places, of course this may be the case, especially if you go to Assisi to visit but this is a “normal case” if you would like to visit a world known place that nobody can’t miss at least once in its life, as to say the little hassle is a little tribute comparing to what you are going to get.

Umbria region it is indeed not only Assisi, other very characteristic cities are wonderful, Perugia, Gubbio, Casentino are surely to be visited, and that is mainly for the Artistic aspect of this small Italian region. Interesting and probably less expected is the fact that you can experience also with quite exciting sport activities, from trekking to paragliding, but yet kayaking, drafting or even make excursions by donkeys, you will discover a face of Umbria that not many have before. 

What about wine tours? Siena is a world known city, this small historical city in the heart of Italy in Tuscany region is with no doubt extremely fascinating, may be the Palio, a traditional horse race, the most important historical horse race that is held twice a year in the city center, may be the wonderful landscape that surround Siena, colours of the lands and its typical vegetation with olive trees, cypress and hills.

But in my opinion The reason is the City of Siena itself, Medieval town that has maintained untouched its characteristics (the historic center is about 100 % traffic free) the feeling is, once you visit, to jump back in time! The possible tours to fully enjoy Siena and its nearby areas are really great, it is difficult to mention all of them as you may create your own tour so that you can discover what you are really interested in, however some of the most successful and appreciated are the Brunello tour in which you will discover the secrets and the places of one of the best Italian wines.

Of course this is not the only wine tour possible, romantic tour walking along ancient Siena streets and visiting the nearby Lago Trasimeno is just another idea. The Lake Garda, ideal holiday place September 7, 2008

The Lake Garda is one of the most important lake of Italy, located between Lombardy and Veneto region, it covers a vast area that goes from Peschiera del Garda (not far from Verona) up to the north at Riva not far from the great Alps mountains. Each zone has its own typical micro climate, and generally speaking, expecially on the south part of the Lake Garda the moderate climate it is noticeable also by the growth of typical Mediterranean vegetation, lemon trees, olive trees but even palms and oleanders.
