La Caravella is an historical elegant Venice Restaurant, that began activity in the early 60’s as was transformed from a successful piano-bar named Ciro’s  very well known in Venice and even internationally (mentioned in by Simone de Beauvoir in one of her books).La Caravella immediately became one of the most successful restaurant, especially renowned for its French wine and the flambé dishes.Nowadays the restaurant has gained the typical Venetian courtyard in which, during nice season, from spring to autumn meals are served among beautiful and very caracteristic wells.  La Caravella has typical Venetian cuisine offering dishes for the historical culinary tradition of Venice, like “sarde in saor” sardines fried and then marinated in onion, raisins and pine-nuts, or a steamed spider crab are not to be left out “risi e bisi” rice cooked with fresh green peas, which are prepared not like a risotto, but is more likely a soup.  Among the many Venice Restaurants, La Caravella has a good balance between price and quality, remembering that Venice is a bit on the expensive side, consider this restaurant if you are looking for a first class restaurant where to have and unforgettable experience.
